**Locality Tasking Officer - Ref: EE06023**
**Salary: G8, £34,834 - £39,186 per annum**

We're seeking a Locality Tasking Officer to ensure the Resilient Communities approach is at the core of what we do across our Community Safety Partnership.

This post is key to ensuring the Resilient Communities approach is at the core of what Walsall does across its Community Safety Partnership and will lead/coordinate multi agency tasking processes to deliver solutions to tackle ASB and other community safety issues.

Resilient Communities is a strength-based approach that, where appropriate, utilises individuals and communities to support themselves and underpins that support with integrated services and integrated enforcement.

The Resilient Communities model therefore has four main components:

- Enabling and supporting people to have personal responsibility;
- Community led solutions;
- Integrated services for the delivery of support to communities;
- Integrated enforcement

The post holder will work closely with partners to identify community safety issues affecting specific localities and the wider borough. They will develop and co-ordinate effective plans and interventions to appropriately intervene in each locality including sourcing funding to supplement the work of statutory services. The postholder will ensure wherever possible appropriate processes exist for communities to shape local services tackling crime and disorder.

Applicants will have
- Experience of working in a Partnership environment and leading/coordinating partnership activity and interventions.
- Experience of working with and delivering for diverse communities?
- Experience and knowledge of Community Safety best practice and legislation
- A strong knowledge of capability and capacity of partnership organisations and internal departments.
- A degree or relevant professional or vocational qualification or relevant experience
