**Job Purpose**

1. To be responsible for research, intelligence gathering and information dissemination for Healthwatch County Durham.

2. To support the production of accurate and informative reports.

3. To increase the awareness and visibility of Healthwatch County Durham through positive digital marketing and communications.

To provide business support, as required, which enables Healthwatch County Durham to fulfil its statutory purpose as an independent champion for people using Health & Social Care services.

5. To support the Healthwatch County Durham Board to undertake their function as an advisory body.

1. To assist the Healthwatch team to be well informed through research and dissemination of Health & Social Care news and policy changes.

2. To manage the collation and analysis of intelligence and data for the purposes of reporting.

3. To embed effective research and evaluation methods for both qualitative and quantitative data.

4. To lead on the gathering of information and evidence allowing the team to measure effectiveness through a Quality Framework.

5. To support the production of informative, accurate and accessible reports which reflect local, regional and national evidence.

6. To maintain the profile of Healthwatch County Durham through public communications, digital marketing and social media content.

7. To support the Board through circulation of papers, taking minutes at Board meetings and sharing relevant information.

8. To assist with the maintenance of databases to support effective delivery of services.

9. To support and maintain relationships with stakeholders through communication and attendance at external events where required.

10. Contribute to effective governance arrangements of Healthwatch County Durham, through the provision of support to the Board, Senior Management Team, commissioners and any task and finish groups.

**General**

1. To uphold PCP’s and Healthwatch Core Values at all times.

2. To operate within the policies and procedures of PCP, including confidentiality, safeguarding, information governance and data protection.

3. To assist marketing and engagement work and use creative techniques to gather views from the communities we support.

4. To actively take responsibility for your own health and safety and ensuring procedures are adhered to.

5. To collate appropriate monitoring and evaluation information to support the achievement of agreed targets and outcomes within the project or service.

6. To carry out all responsibilities in line with the organisation’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

7. To recruit, support, train and motivate volunteers as required.

8. To undertake any training and development deemed appropriate.

9. To undertake any such duties required by the relevant Senior Manager or PCP Chief Executive.
