Watkins is a family owned Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing sub-contractor. Located in Ramsgate, Kent, the company has now been trading over 60 years.We are currently looking for an experienced individual to work in our HR and Administration department.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The role will primarily involve acting as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR related queries. You will be maintaining and updating employee records, whilst handling the majority of employee documentation, such as contracts and induction packs. We are looking for someone with superb communication and administration skills, being able to deal with a variety of people and keeping calm in all situations. You will work in a small team at our Ramsgate Head Office.
**REQUIREMENTS / RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Forming and maintaining employee records on both our system and within confidential employee folders.
- Advertising positions online and liaising with others as part of the recruitment process.
- Updating internal databases, such as sick leave and holiday leave.
- Preparing and amending HR documents, such as contracts.
- Being the first point of contact for employees, answering any enquiries they may have.
- Be able to provide basic advice on the policies and procedures to staff and management.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, suppliers, and the public.
- Considerable experience of HR administration desirable.
- Confidentiality of company information to be exercised at all times.
- Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience of Microsoft software, ideally Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good ethical judgement.
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
