As an active member of the HSE Department work to achieve world-class Health, Safety and Environmental performance by actively supporting the improvement of the various Management System processes and business performance.

**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**:
- Investigate all Accidents and implement corrective actions to minimize risk of re-occurrence
- Manage an efficient and accurate action plan to ensure closure of HSE risks identified from internal risk identification reporting processes
- Review external audit results, implement corrective actions and determine opportunities for improvement
- Review contractor RAMS when necessary
- Plan external Health & Safety training, including First aid and Fire warden training
- Plan and oversee fire drills over two local sites and 3 shifts
- Collate Safety Statistics for internal and external communication
- Collate all applicable information as required to ensure accurate figures are retained for compliance under Producer Responsibility Legislation (Packaging / WEEE / Batteries)
- Collate and maintain information required to evaluate business carbon footprint
- Update health and safety management system documents where required, writing safety method statements and safe systems of work, updating REACH database
- Assist with, and update, risk assessments as required
- Conduct internal audits and other routine inspections
- Continually improve environmental impacts of business, working to reduce impacts of raw materials used in business
- Chair Loss Prevention Team meetings (HSE Committee) in 2 sites
**Skills and Experience**
- Good to have 2 years’ experience in the areas of Health, Safety and Environmental Management
- A practical understanding of HSE legislation with experience of implementation of controls to minimize risk of injury to staff
- A good appreciation of impacts to our environment and options to minimise such impacts
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail to spot various hazards and complete investigations
- Good to have experience in provision of Training
- Good to have NEBOSH certification
- Formal qualification in Health & Safety Law would be beneficial
