Our UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components.

What will I be doing?
- The material planners manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules and sales forecasts.
- The material planner's responsibilities include, creating and maintaining purchase orders, inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external stakeholder relations.
- The role is to provide support and cover to the 3 specialist areas within MRO; European Maintenance Centre Hub (EMCH), Accessories Repair and Front Office sales.
- A successful Material Planner should be able to ensure the appropriate supply of high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery
- Work in accordance with HSE legislation, Company Operating Systems, policies and procedures
- Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
- Control inventory levels meeting customer satisfaction and budget targets
- Ensuring materials meet specifications & quality standards
- Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
- Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
- Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
- Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
- Managing schedule changes and cancellations.
- Preparing performance reports
- Managing the flow of returning parts back to repair centres
- Create and maintain material master data and purchase information records ensuring accuracy of data.
- Actively participate in team meetings, SQCDPI.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and take responsibility for implementation
- Support as required planning of materials across any of the 3 areas during periods of team absence
- Any other task which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of Safran HE UK and is within the remit of this post
- Ensure any subcontract activity is timely and within the needs of the business, including obtaining RFQ's lead-time and delivery.

**Job requirements**:
What do you need from me?
- 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems (SAP).Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- IT (Microsoft office), use of computer and software
- English and Maths GCSE's grade A-C
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- SAP knowledge
- Eager to learn
- Team Player
- Has an innovative mind-set, looks for opportunities to support their learning.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task a
