Opus Teach is a supply agency based in Ipswich, which is local authority owned. We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist/Administrator to work with in one of our partnered schools in Northstowe, Cambridge.
This is a temporary role; however a permanent contact may be offered on completion of the temporary post.
**Term time only, 30 hours per week.**
If you have children of your own the school may be able to offer a place for your children in their 'Kids Club' or Nursery.
**Start date**: Ideally as soon as possible.
**End date**: July 2023
**Ideal working hours**: 9.30/10am - 4pm
**Hourly rate**: £11.00 - £12.89 (dependent on experience)
**Job requirements & responsibilities**:

- To provide administrative support such as photocopying, filing, faxing, completing routine forms.
- Deal with general enquiries either by telephone or face to face and sign in visitors.
- Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and post outgoing mail.
- Produce and respond to correspondence using templates.
- Be the first point of contact for sick pupils and liaise with parents/carers/staff.
- Assist with arrangements for school events and visits including hospitality.
- Contribute to the production of materials e.g., year books.

**You will need**:

- Demonstrable experience in Administration.
- Previous experience in a school office would be HIGHLY advantageous, however not essential.
- Suitable professional references from previous employment.
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
- A good understanding of school structure.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- High levels of self-motivation and a positive approach.
