Role Overview

Support and mentor customers on their employment path at work by providing them with an individual action plan tailored to their specific needs. This will include motivating customers to achieve the workplace targets set by their employer and providing continued in-work support throughout their CMF Recruitment ATW service supported programme for sustained employment. This will involve face to face interaction.

Independent Contractor / Self employed

£18 per hour

Placements between 175 to 200 hours, diminishing over 26 weeks

Location: Central Birmingham

What we are looking for:

- Experience of being a Job Coach and working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in an employment setting
- A minimum of GCSE level A-C* in Maths and English, or equivalent (level 3)

WhatYou Will Be Doing:

- Conduct ‘insight/about you’ meetings with newly referred customers and regularly review their progress against SMART objectives in line with CMF Recruitments ATW service team customer journey and positive outcomes;
- Assess, record and regularly review customers’ progress in-work, ability to build and sustain positive working relationships in the workplace;
- Produce and agree with each customer an individually tailored action plan, based on your assessment, which will lead to customers retaining and developing within work;
- Focus your customer on achieving a positive outcome, understanding aspirations and managing objections/potential barriers by identifying suitable interventions;
- Monitor and review your customer’s progression against agreed employer milestones.
- Effectively manage a caseload to time, positive outcome and quality standards (both customer and employer focused;
- Manage and support customers with motivation and awareness of individual job activities, building rapport and motivating them to achieve the required outcome
- Work with Employer Relationship Managers to identify suitable progression paths and further job related training opportunities
- Identify customers’ in-work support needs, and manage the customer journey Develop a personalised in work support package, detailing the level and nature of support within a customer’s action plan
- Work effectively and collaboratively with the CMF Recruitment ATW service team and colleagues to ensure performance outcomes are met.

What You Will Need To Have:

- Knowledge of the local labour market and national employment trends for people with Learning difficulties or challenging behaviour.
- Proven ability to motivate and engage with challenging customers.
- Competent IT and administration skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers both face to face and over the phone.
- Excellent planning and organising skills.
- Knowledge of what employers require and be able to coach individuals within their workplace accordingly.
- Results focused with the experience and ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Previous experience in a similar targeted customer focused role.
- Interest in the growth and development of others.
- Experience in working with a wide range of people, all with differing needs and individual aspirations.
- Flexible to meet the needs of the business

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £18.00 per hour
