**Role**
This role is based in at an engineering company in Coventry. You will be covering for the Bookkeeper while they are on maternity leave for between 6 to 12 months.
**Skills and experience**
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) with minimum of 3 years Bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of Sage is essential
- Knowledge of CIS and reverse vat is desirable
- Excellent IT skills, with working knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to communicate well at all levels within the company
- Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality
- Rationale thinker with a sound commercial awareness and an understanding for business.
**Duties and responsibilities**
The primary responsibilities and duties would include:
- Maintaining ledger accounts, verifying, and posting transactions
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
- Monthly supplier statement, ledger and posting reconciliations
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested
- Managing and filing relevant documentation
- Maintaining VAT & CIS records and making returns
- Manage monthly credit card statements
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and development of financial reports
- Other Ad hoc tasks and projects to support the finance team

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6-12 months
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
**Salary**: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
