Radiology Booking Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Interventional Radiology Theatres Administration team.
Full time and part time hours would be considered.
The post holder will work as part of the Interventional Radiology Theatres Administration team, you will be responsible for arranging and coordinating the booking of patients referred to Radiology for specialist procedures and for appointing patients in line with the pathway they have been referred on and abiding by Trust targets.
Following standard booking procedures the post holder will be required to exercise judgement and initiative to ensure that all referrals are prioritised and processed efficiently to meet the targets relating to the relevant patients pathway.
The post holder will ensure close liaison with the multi-disciplinary team in Radiology as well as wards, GP surgeries, outpatient clinics, patients and nursing medical/administrative staff in order to provide a prompt patient focused service and maintain good relations with internal and external referrers into the service.
The post holder should possess the ability to use initiative, working without direct supervision, organising and taking control of specified duties, escalating where necessary to the Unit Co-ordinator.
**Main duties of the job**:
To provide a friendly, courteous and efficient service to patients, visitors, carers and all referrers into the Radiology service when booking and co-ordinating appointments.
To co-ordinate the bookings of patients who require Interventional Radiological procedures, following the Radiology standard operating procedures, ensuring that all referrals received are processed within 24 hours and ensuring appointments are booked in accordance with the correct RTT targets.
Using various Trust IT systems, inclusive of CRIS, Medway, Medical Office, Bluespier.
The post holder will be required to liaise with a number of consultant Radiologists across varying specialties.

To work alongside the Multidisciplinary team to assist and support the delivery of excellent patient care.
Arrange admission for Daycase and GA elective referrals as required, liaising with the relevant areas, such as Pre-Op, Day case and wards, using Trust IT systems to do so.
Participate in scheduling team meetings to ensure that all lists are appropriately booked, and any unused slots are highlighted to the Modality manager and/or Sister in charge.
