**We are seeking an EMEA Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist**

You will be responsible for the management and coordination of the end to end Legalization process [prepare documentation and coordinate the process to obtain legalization and certificates of origin (COO) from the relevant Chamber(s) of Commerce.

You will drive standardization of import/export processes and internal control procedures (incl. Draft of local SOP/procedures for trade compliance & customs activities) Work closely with local operations (Logistics, Planning & Manufacturing) to seamlessly integrate Global Trade activities into overall operation.

You will provide support for day to day import / export operations and compliance with international trade, customs, and other government agency regulations.

Other Duties:

- Proven working knowledge of Country of origin determination, in accordance with the rules of origin.
- Proven working knowledge of HS determination.
- Accurate interpretation of non-preferential origin of products to be exported and for which legalization and/or issuance of certificate of origin must be performed.
- Deploy internal processes to gather corresponding proofs of origin and maintain a high standard of compliance with non-preferential rules of origin.
- Perform denied party screenings - DPS - and communicate stakeholders accordingly.
- Cross-functional collaboration with customer account managers, finance, legal, customs brokers, services providers, manufacturing plants and Chamber of Commerce.
- Supports EMEA Trade Compliance Manager with identification, qualification, implementation and operation of strategic cost savings initiatives such as free trade agreements, duty suspension regimes (IPR)
- Responsible for requesting, reviewing, and maintaining Long Term Supplier declarations for the relevant markets.
- Provides advanced support to the International Trade and Customs operations.
- Proactively coordinates and monitors import/export compliance with international trade, customs and other government agency laws and regulations to minimise the risk of penalties and fines due to non-compliance.
- Assists in the management of freight forwarder and customs broker compliance.
- Interacts with internal functions like, amongst others, distribution, export, import, finance sales and external service providers.
- Conducts comprehensive audits for the import and export programs, implements corrective action with analysts and review results with the EMEA Trade Compliance Manager on a regular basis.
- Coordinates review and update all internal procedures and helps develop associated training modules.
- Overseas interaction with service providers, regulators, and internal business to facilitate import entry clearance or export filing.
- Assists the EMEA Customs & Trade Regulations Manager with local deployment of regional projects.
- Drives standardisation of import/export processes and internal control procedures (incl. Draft of local SOP/procedures for Customs & Trade Regulations activities).

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Working and legal knowledge of Customs and Trade Compliance Regulations (incl. Export Control).
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years business and/or compliance/regulatory experience.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Methodological, rigorous and precise.
- Eager to learn.
- Must be technologically adept.
- Good communication skills.
- Professional English is mandatory. Any other language is considered as a plus.
