King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, particularly au fait with successful implementation throughout the project lifecycle. King’s currently has some very interesting projects such as a collaborationwith the UK first Artificial Intelligence for Imaging centre in our portfolio and the deployment of the Apollo programme.

This role will be a senior member of the ICT Project Management Team, supporting and enabling technology-based transformational change and lead ICT enabled modernisation and sustained service improvements throughout the Trust, in accordance with the Trust’sICT Strategy. The ICT Strategy continues to maintain the Trust’s position in the use of state-of-the-art technology and information to deliver excellent 21st century patient care, building on and integrating existing administrative and clinical systems aswell as developing into new areas, as the needs, funding and technology allow.

**Duties**:

- Co-ordinate the evaluation and overall planning of Project requests as part of an overall Programme management approach
- Lead the specification, procurement and implementation of IT related Projects
- Advise and where necessary oversee the work undertaken by the Project managers in the Project management team
- Act as a consultant for other Trust departments in developing IT solutions and strategies
- Planning, facilitating and implementing specific IT projects, this will involve managing the procurement and implementation of systems and upgrades

**Essential Criteria**:

- Thorough understanding of the Major corporate IT systems
- At least three to five years’ experience of managing medium/large scale projects in complex and multi-disciplinary environments from initial design to completion
- Demonstrable track record of conceiving and implementing systems that have achieved continuing benefits for the organisation
- Knowledge and experience of change management methodology and the change process, service development and delivering sustained improvement
- Expertise in problems solving, able to analyse and interpret highly complex IT problems using own initiative and ability to support others to develop this skill
