A great opportunity for the role of Project Manager (New Models) has arisen within our Project Management team. As our New Model platforms continue to expand, we are seeking applications from individuals who possess the attributes outlined below to fulfil the role of Project Manager for New Models at Triumph Motorcycles.
A project manager is responsible for delivering a project’s outputs to the agreed project success criteria, including on-time delivery, with all deliverables fulfilled to the expected level of quality and within the agreed budget constraints. The project manager for new model definition will specifically be more focused on the timely delivery of earlier deliverables in the project lifecycle, motivating the project team to deliver against their respective project objectives.
Workload will be predominantly targeted towards larger scale projects with sizable concept and definition phases where the specification of the product is fully defined, and release of designs begin to commence. Additionally, the new model definition project manager will ensure that for each of their projects they are maturing them to a level where they can be consistently handed over to the delivery project manager and manufacturing areas of the business in a manner that maximises the ability for the business to deliver on a ‘right first time’ basis, and with mitigation already in place for key project risks.
The New Model Definition Project Manager will manage projects from the point of initial scope release, through to completion of the product definition phase.
To succeed in this role you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You must also have exceptional personal and project time planning skills and organisational skills. You must also have demonstrable strength in negotiation and conflict management. You must also be proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word and Outlook and have a good technical understanding of key motorcycle components and systems.
