We are looking to recruit **passionate & enthusiastic** support workers to join Team Steps and become part of what we believe to be, something incredibly **rewarding and person centred.**

This role is based in **Taunton **and surrounding areas and a variety of hours are available on a full time and part time basis, **FULL client specific training will be provided to all support workers.**

The client is a gentleman in his 50s who suffered an acquired brain injury 6 years ago. He is currently based in a nursing home and has been since his discharge from hospital following his injury. We are looking to transition our client back into his home with his wife. This will start with 12 hours a week, to access the community and get him used to being out, and will eventually build up to a full package of care. The gentleman loves music and classical cars in particular.

**Hours Available**:
**12 hours a week, with the potential to build to full time. At the moment it will be a 4 hour shift, 3 times a week.**

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Arranging & support to attend appointments
- General upkeep of the property
- Administering Medication
- Accessing the community

.Assisting with the clients programme of rehabilitation

**Requirements for the position**:

- Acquired Brain Injury experience is preferred

The chosen individuals will be enthusiastic, reliable and self - motivated. Six months health and social care experience is preferable, however, transferrable skills and personal experience will be considered.
