Pre-screening Patient Navigator

The role of the Navigator is to determine initial research study eligibility for patients referred through an online digital campaign. Navigators are required to complete outbound telephone calls to patients to discuss a series of scripted prescreening questions. Eligible referrals should be scheduled with a study site for further eligibility determination and monitored to ensure site follow up. The goal of this second level of prescreening support is to reduce site burden by providing highly qualified individuals who are interested in participating in a clinical research study.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Complete outbound calls to patients who have completed an online survey via digital ad campaign expressing interest in the clinical trial within 2 business days of received referral
- Complete detailed tickets within the helpdesk platform are completed and closed out to best of ability at the end of each day
- Ability to switch gears quickly from speaking with a patient to speaking with sites and maintain a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and urgency without sacrificing quality in your work
- Accurately determine initial eligibility based on answers to prescreening checklist as discussed with patients and are able to provide this outcome empathetically to the referral
- Refer eligible patients to sites calling attention to any criteria the site should pay extra attention to
- Ensure sites are following up on eligible referrals provided to them within a timely manner and escalating this as required

**Key Attributes/Skills/Education**
- 2+ years of clinical research experience
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to support patients with a wide range of needs
- GCP certification
- Adherence to HIPAA and GCP regulations
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient in excel, word, power point, skype
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precision instructions and criteria
- Good level computer troubleshooting skills is desired
- Excellent home internet connection
