Psychology Practitioner

This is a great opportunity for a Psychological Practitioner to work within a specialist eating disorder service, delivering psychological informed interventions. You will work alongside colleagues from a variety of disciplines, providing high quality evidence based treatment.
The role allows for diverse working practice, providing family-based treatment with specialist psychological interventions. Our well embedded psychology team oversees a psychology pathway that provides a variety of interventions, such as CBT (including CBT-E) and EMDR, that are formulation led and evidenced based.
The successful post holder will receive regular high-quality supervision as well as opportunities to deliver supervision.
The successful applicant will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team with a base in Winchester but working across Hampshire supporting clinicians.
To contribute a qualified, high-quality specialist psychology service to individuals, carers, families and groups, within and across teams, in line with best, evidence-based practice and trust care pathway.
The successful applicant will be supported by colleagues within the Eating Disorder Team and encouraged to attend County Wide Psychology meetings to support understanding of wider psychology provision, as well as acting as an opportunity for networking and contribution inline with job plans and professional development.
The successful post holder will support our multi-disciplinary team to complete specialist assessment in a community setting.
To provide consultation to colleagues and supervision to team members of the Eating Disorder Team in relation to psychological aspects of their roles, including the provision of psychology informed interventions to service users care.
They will be responsible for holding and managing a clinical caseload and to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the planning and prioritising of own workload and the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients, within the bounds of the service operational policy.
They will also use analytical and judgment skills and be responsible for taking clinical management decisions, where appropriate, in complex clinical issues.
Utilising research skills for the purpose of service evaluation, audit, research and teaching within the team/to various stakeholders.
The Hampshire Eating Disorder team is county wide with three hubs situated in the North South East and south West of the county. The team work closely with the 7 community CAMHS locality teams, home treatment team (i2i) and our colleagues in Paediatric and Psychiatric liaison based within Hampshire Hospitals.
The service focuses on delivering high quality, safe and evidence based care and is supported by an extensive clinical and operational leadership structure. The service adopts a compassionate approach to leadership and staff wellbeing.
There is a robust Psychology supervision and clinical leadership structure, with the opportunity for psychologists across the county coming together regularly.
We have excellent links with the Southampton University Clinical Doctorate Training.
There are excellent training opportunities for professional development that support the implementation of NICE compliant treatment to enable the provision of high quality evidenced based care, through supervision, training, team CPD and wider CAMHS and Trust events.

The above roles and responsibilities will be supported by our small and well-established psychology team, as the wider by senior clinicians and will work closely with other specialists within the service. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to partake in leadership roles. As highlighted above, this role provides an excellent opportunity for development and consolidation of skills and expertise in a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
Home based working is also available, in addition to patient facing delivery. This role is Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
