Canon EMEA is looking for a Segment Marketing Specialist, to successfully introduce and support the lifecycle of Canon’s Products and Solutions to the EMEA market for the assigned segments.

The role will focus on our industry segment, looking at those products that integrate into B2B solutions.

The role will invole:
**Situational Analysis**
- Develop robust situational analyses as required. Actively review previous activities and analyse to determine their success. Analyse: Context, Category, Competition, Company, Customer and Channel to identify issues and their root causes. Produce SWOTs and determine challenges to overcome to achieve the set business objectives. Make recommendations on projects and activities for the Mid-Term Plan (MTP).

**Proposition Development and Product Planning**
- Work closely with Product Management, Sales Engineering and the Sales teams to develop customer propositions for product / solution launches and actively input into future product planning.

**Development of Marketing Strategies**
- After fully understanding the product or solution proposition and the related challenges, develop marketing strategies to deliver against business and marketing objectives.

**Brief Marketing and Develop Marketing Plan**
- Write clear, concise and specific briefs in order to illicit outstanding responses aligned to strategy and business objectives. Ensuring that clear KPIs are set and previous performance is taken into account.
- Judge the responses to brief and Work with the planning team and the marketing channels to develop clear plans aligned to the strategy that will deliver on the business objectives

**Manage Stakeholders**
- Work collaboratively with Internal and External stakeholders to build consensus and buy in to strategies and plans.
- In particular work with the local sales companies to gain their feedback and buy in to plans. Build virtual teams where appropriate.

**Creative Platform Development**
- Working with internal and agency teams, lead the development of creative platforms to communicate the propositions

**Manage plan delivery**
- Ensure delivery of the agreed plans

**Event Support**
- Lead or support where appropriate Canon’s participation in Industry Events. This includes supporting the planning and project management of the event, the setup of exhibition stands, handling of event logistics and being a Canon spokesman to press and industry analysts.

**Product & Proposition Training**
- Develop and deliver sales and marketing product training, both internally and externally. This will enable effective product sales & marketing across EMEA, while empowering our retailers to successfully sell our products.

**Ongoing Knowledge and Professional Development**
- Develop & maintain detailed information on the market, technologies, products and competition - to secure: product positioning, marketing activity planning and training.
- Seek out opportunities to develop yourself professionally and kepp Canon at the forefront of Marketing techniques.

**Salary**: between £44,243 and £52,051 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus

- A technical background with a good understanding of B2B marketing

- Strong persuasive / influencing skills to act as a bridge between the different departments
- Creative thinking to come up with solutions that we haven’t previously considered
- Able to see something through to delivery without direct ownership
- Strong Commercial acumen, understand the P&L in order to understand the importance of doing things that work and generate profit
- Outstanding briefing and delegating skills - Clear Concise Specific to achieve the desired results
- Working with a diverse group of cultures

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.
