**Lead Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing Officer**

We are looking for an experienced Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing Officer who will lead on whole school student wellbeing and safeguarding, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

As Lead Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing Officer you will be able to work effectively with others, adopting a positive ethos and understanding the value in partnership working. You will need to have excellent problem solving skills, the ability to think innovatively and you will embrace change. You will be a strategic leader who is inclusive and collaborative in approach.

You will have significant knowledge of both safeguarding procedures and behaviour management, as well as knowledge of strategies and interventions that can be applied in an education setting to support pupils. You will have experience of using evidence-based tools to support young people and your communication skills will be excellent.

You will keep abreast of legislative and policy developments in safeguarding and you will ensure that any changes or best practice updates are incorporated into the school’s approach to safeguarding. You will be able to identify and remedy any training gaps in safeguarding knowledge as a result.

This is a permanent, full-time role of 37 hours per week and is term time only plus five additional days each year.

**Working Hours**:
8.00am - 4.15pm Monday to Thursday _(with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break)_

8.00am - 3.45pm Friday _(with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break_

**Salary**:
**Grade 10**

Full time equivalent salary (52 weeks) From: £34,723 to: £38,296

Actual salary (37 hrs / term time only + 5 days) From: £29,604 to: £32,651
