A full time permanent opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Trainer to join our friendly, award-winning RCE Wellbeing Hub team in the Peterborough locality (teaching in other locations will be expected).
RCE Wellbeing Hub is a collaborative, educational learning environment, which aims to convey messages of hope, control and opportunity to all.
We are seeking a Trainer to co-produce and deliver high quality and relevant courses. The post holder will establish a supportive and respectful relationship with all students of the Wellbeing Hub and represent the Wellbeing Hub and the wider recovery team at conferences and Trust events.
The post holder will be joining the Wellbeing Hub at a time of exciting new developments with many opportunities to support the Wellbeing Hub, through a co-production model working with all stakeholders, to expand the service through the development of new courses.
We are looking for someone ambitious, creative and person-centred, to support our new and exciting developments.
The post holder will hold a professional teaching qualification (or be willing to undertake within 3 months of starting role) and have lived experience of health challenges.
This is a hybrid role teaching at our Peterborough and Cambridge Hubs (and other NHS facilities) through face to face sessions, alongside online teaching where you may work from home.
- The Trainer will act as a role model of recovery within the Wellbeing Hub and be able to share their own lived experience with the students in an appropriate way.
- Reporting directly to the Wellbeing Hub Deputy Manager, the Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of high quality co-produced courses.
- The Trainer role will also take a lead in the co-production of course development and compiling lesson plans and presentations.
- The Trainer will support the administrative processes of the college such as database entry, taking and receiving telephone calls from students and welcoming students into the college hub.
- To support the delivery of the Peer Professional Forums in terms of organising/delivering and supporting the PSWs.
- Through sharing the wisdom from own lived experience, inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. Within a relationship of mutuality, facilitate and support information sharing to promote choice, self-determination and opportunities for the fulfilment of socially valued roles and connection to local communities.
- The Trainer will promote their role, through the provision of information and a range of learning opportunities for the multi-disciplinary team and others across the Trust. Tutors may also be required to deliver training to internal and external partners.

1. To establish a supportive and respectful relationship with all students of the Wellbeing Hub.
2. To co-produce and co-deliver high quality and relevant courses to students, in line with National Guidelines and local requests.
3. To represent the Wellbeing Hub and the wider recovery team at conferences and Trust events, where requested by the Wellbeing Hub Management Team.
4. Provide some administration to the Wellbeing Hub including answering telephone calls, inputting student data and answering queries.
5. Model personal responsibility, self-awareness, self-belief, self-advocacy and hopefulness via the telling of own recovery story to inspire and instil confidence in peers.
6. Share/teach ‘living with’ wellness tools, self-help and self-management techniques within the Wellbeing Hub and as part of college courses. Trainers may also be required to deliver training to internal and external partners.
7. Act as a positive role model, showing professional and caring attitudes and behaviour towards other multi-disciplinary team members and students.
8. Have a focus on the rights of students at all times.
9. Work in a way that acknowledges the personal, social, cultural and spiritual strengths and needs of the individuals who attend the college.
10. To raise awareness of recovery language with Trust staff by modelling positive strengths based, non-discriminatory, non-jargon, non-medicalised language in all areas of work.
