Are you passionate about safeguarding and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of learners? Peterborough Skills Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Safeguarding Lead.

Role: Safeguarding Lead

Location: Peterborough Skills Academy

Hours: 16-24 hours per week

**Salary**: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all safeguarding and child protection matters across the academy.

Develop, implement, and review safeguarding policies and procedures in line with current legislation.

Provide training, support, and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues.

Act as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring prompt and effective action.

Liaise with external agencies, including social services and the police, to ensure the safety of students.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of all safeguarding incidents.

**Requirements**:
Relevant qualifications in safeguarding and child protection.

Proven experience in a safeguarding role within an educational setting.

Strong knowledge of current safeguarding legislation and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
