**Central Purpose of the Job**
To carry out and manage all company stores and contract procurement functions and logístical requirements to ensure that plant and material requisitions are organised to meet timescales prescribed by construction team in an efficient and cost effective manner.
**Main Job Objectives**
**Stores**
To organise, control and maintain tidiness of company stores and material holding areas within premises.
To control and manage, re-plenishing of company stock in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Manual Handling of stock, materials, plant and equipment.
Load and unload pickup and vans
To prepare, issue to employees and record all stock items and plant from our stores, paint and stock held in external containers or in workshop storage locations, access equipment located externally and any plant or materials issued to employees.
To control and develop company stock records process.
To carry out general administration duties relating to stores and procurement operations such as data entry, scanning and filing physically and digitally.
Take delivery of, check and place into relevant laydown or storage location, all plant and material deliveries to our workshops.
To control and develop goods received process and liaise with accounts department.
To checking company plant to ensure its good working order prior to issue and on return including PAT testing.
To control and ensure that company plant certification and documentation is current and compliant.
To record and develop company plant issue and returns process and liaise with accounts department.
To refuel company vehicles and company diesel tank and control, record and manage issue of fuel.
To manage waste removal from company premises and yard.
**Procurement**
To proactively interact with construction team regarding plant and material requirements.
To fulfil requirements of construction team to meet defined contract timing and programmes.
To carry out price / delivery checks with suppliers for construction team requisition requests to obtain best cost, value, delivery and lead times.
To ensure all conformity, certification and guarantee documentation is requested with purchase orders and received.
To ongoingly track, expedite and report on status of outstanding procurement orders.
To control goods received paperwork and input electronically into company systems.
To manage and control the procurement and whereabouts of externally hired-in plant.
To purchase company plant and control its maintenance, whereabouts, issue and return.
To liaise with suppliers to achieve the optimal results for pricing, payment terms and delivery, and to develop supplier base.
To plan and control procurement using company or supplier logistics in as cost effective a way as possible and to meet timescale requirements.
To compile, manage and up-date on a regular basis supplier cost database.

**Hours of Work**
This is a salaried role and your core hours of work will be:
Monday to Thursday 0730 - 1630 with ½ hour lunch break
Friday 0730 - 1330 with no lunch break
However, reflected in your salary, will be the requirement for you to work additional hours to meet business operational needs. Currently, our working hours are:
Monday to Thursday 0700 - 1630 with ½ hour lunch break
Friday 0700 - 1330 with no lunch break
