**Role**: Regulatory Compliance Assurance Specialist

**Salary**:£30,000 - £40,000

**Location**: Southampton

The Regulatory Compliance Assurance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support clients ensuring their products meet the safety standards set by the regulatory authorities.
- Provide comprehensive guidance to internal and external stakeholders on issues relating to regulatory compliance assurance.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of regulatory requirements applicable to our clients operations.
- Provide expert advice and support to the first line in relation to governance and regulation to understand and meet regulatory obligations.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the completion of gap analysis and the implementation of relevant regulatory measures and industry guidance.
- Provide support and challenge to ensure key regulatory and legislative developments and provide input into the design and development of regulatory risk management frameworks and risk management practices.
- Support our relationship with the stakeholders ensuring timely and quality responses are provided to the regulators to ensure the expectations of the regulators are consistently met.
- Regulatory compliance support on growth projects and provide oversight of the implementation of regulatory change (e.g. Consumer Duty).
- Co-creation, ownership and maintenance of Compliance and Conduct Policies and Procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on compliance activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management and regulatory authorities as needed.

**Key skills, knowledge and experience**:
Essential:

- Degree in Quality Management, Project Management, Technical Business Administration, Commercial, or Law.
- Expert in product compliance and audit on but not limited to: cosmetics, toys, têxtiles, food, food supplements, electronics, general product categories, chemicals, medical equipment, and other CE and non-CE mark categories.
- Knowledge and understanding of current legislative regulations relating to Quality, Information Security, GDPR, H&S,GSPI, Product labels.
- Up-to-date regulatory knowledge on RoHS, General Product Safety Regulation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product compliance assurance field or similar.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and identify compliance implications.
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Highly organised, efficient and diligent.
- Strong ability to prioritise workload and multitask between projects and tasks.
- Able to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

- Expertise in Product Compliance for online retailers.
