Operations and Facilities Lead

An exciting opportunity came up for an **Operations and Facilities Lead** to join our small network of **GP Practices** and take responsibility for smooth operations across all three sites and ensure that we work in line with **Health and Safety **regulations.
Contract type**:Permanent**
Location: We currently operate from 3 sites**:Brunswick and Burwash in Hove and Benfield in Portslade**.
Working hours**:30-37.5 hours, between 8 am and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday**, with the flexibility to work outside of those hours on a Saturday if required.
**About the role**:
As an Operations and Facilities Lead you will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of a range of facilities management processes and activities.
In addition, you will work closely with the Health & Safety Lead in relation to all aspects of health and safety provision.
You will manage, coordinate, and deliver excellent operational and administrative support that maintains and enhances WellBN facilities (buildings, office space, IT equipment, dedicated facilities and equipment) and related policies and processes, and ensure an attractive and safe working environment for staff, patients and visitors.
Although the role will normally fall under operational hours (Monday-Friday) some flexibility is required to facilitate some out of hours works that cannot be performed in these times.
**What we would like you to do**:
- Maintaining Facilities Matrix across all WellBN sites, ensuring tasks are completed in timely manner.
- Managing the site’s cleaning operations; liaising with cleaning company and performing monthly cleaning audits of sites.
- Take an active role in WellBN’s Infection Control group - Attend meetings and highlight areas of concern. Work with rest of team to create action plan of works.
- Policy creation and review.
- Risk assessment creation and review
- Reacting to any maintenance issues as they happen and organising remedial works, creating Action plans if necessary
- Liaising with The Non-Clinical Lead Partner on a weekly basis to plan and organise short, medium and long term facilities plans for the business
- Fire duties for all sites - ensuring staff training on Fire safety is up to date and performing periodical fire drills. Fire Risk Assessments to be valid and clear action plans in place.
- Legionella - Ensure the Legionella Scheme of works are adhered to, Legionella Risk Assessments are up to date and any action plans updated.
- Leading and planning of restoration works for the Brunswick site; arranging contractors following on from recommendations of a Building Survey report.
- Lead contact for contractors at all sites; maintaining strong relationships with contractors and ensuring invoices are paid in due time.
- Waste Management for all sites - ensuring documentation is valid and accessible and dealing with any waste concerns with the appropriate carrier.
