Do you want to work for an organisation that supports work life balance? If so, we may have a really exciting opportunity to join our Care and Support Team as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer.

To succeed in the role, you will need to have experience in a housing role with particular understanding of support provision in social housing. You will be expected to have a clean driving licence and use of a personal vehicle for which you will claim mileage. You must have good IT skills to be able to input and extract data. You will have excellent communication skills to tackle difficult and sensitive issues, be able to work effectively as part of a team and have organisational skills with the ability to work without close supervision.

As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, your aim will be to prevent a tenancy from coming to a premature end by providing advice, support, and specialist services to our vulnerable residents.

**In social housing you have the chance to make a real difference to people’s lives and the role of Tenancy Sustainment Officer will include working with a large variety of customers regarding**:

- Domestic abuse
- Safeguarding issues
- Mental health
- Disabilities
- Drug or Alcohol Issue
- Social Isolation
- Leaving residential or institutional care, care home, prison or temporary foster care
- Homeless or have been in temporary or supported accommodation
- Refugees granted asylum status
- Need help to stay at home and not go into residential care or hospital
- Hoarding and or neglect to their property
- Not receiving statutory or other (voluntary/family) support to manage their physical and/or mental health
- Presenting anti-social behaviour where no support is in place
- Financial worries, concerns

**As Tenancy Sustainment Officer, we need you to**:

- Have an excellent approach to customer service with the ability to deal with challenging situations
- Be decisive, observant, enthusiastic, diplomatic, adaptable, quick thinking, innovative and customer focussed
- Have excellent I.T Skills
- Have the ability to develop successful professional relationships with partners to achieve positive outcomes
- Have good organisational skills and take ownership of situations
- Have a willingness and ability to work flexibly and to attend meetings and other events outside normal business hours to meet the needs of the service
- Be highly self-motivated, able to act with integrity and show drive and enthusiasm
- Have a current clean driving licence and access to a car to cover all geographic areas if required.

**We would be **_excited_** if you have**:

- Experience working with a Social Housing Provider or similar customer facing role
- Ability to be innovative and look for ways to improve customer experience
