**Salary**:£10.78 per hour

**Contract duration**:Fixed term contract until 31-Aug-2024

**The Hours**:Flexible hours to be discussed at interview with a variety of shift patterns available. You will be required to work weekends.

**What it's like to work here:This vacancy is included in a trial of the ‘Disability Confident’ scheme (level 1).**

Reporting to Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 10 staff and 50 volunteer working at Upton House and Gardens and Canons Ashby. Your contractual location will be Upton House, however some travel to Canons Ashby will be required.

An Art Gallery in a country house. Upton is home to The Bearsted Collection, one of the most significant collections of European art assembled in the 20th century. Among the paintings, which date from the 14th - 19th centuries, are works by Bosch, Breughel, El Greco, Canaletto and Stubbs. These sit alongside an outstanding collection of Sèvres tableware and Chelsea figures. Outside, making the most of the natural landscape, the gardens are situated atop an ice-age valley and drop away from the edge of the sweeping south lawn via a series of seasonal borders to the Mirror Pool below.

What you'll be doing:Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same. Our busiest days are at weekends.
