Internal Business Development Executive

**About the role**
We're looking to hire a Business Development Executive to join our high-performing E-Commerce function and help us continue our rapid growth and success. You will be responsible for exploiting new business opportunities and identifying innovative packagingsolutions for target customers in new markets, and taking customers through a process from concept and design stages through to first orders.
We'll be asking you to demonstrate excellent business acumen and instincts, as you'll be responsible for identifying and developing your own new client base and contributing to the significant growth within E-pack. You'll be gathering commercial intelligenceand building a strong pipeline of potential deals, working with your colleagues to understand the various challenges that come with each client in a fast-moving industry.
It's vital that you are able to build strong relationships over time with new customers and help them to understand exactly how the solutions we can offer can help their businesses in the immediate and long-term future. **About you**
- A hunger to build a client base and win new business on a regular basis
- Previous sales experience
- Ability to build connections with stakeholders in a variety of different organisations, and within DS Smith
- Resilient and determined, with the ability to focus on opportunities with the highest probability of success
- Packaging knowledge would be advantageous, but is not mandatory
