Job Summary:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor (late shift) Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. This role is hands on as part of an established team. Cooking, filling and packing our signature products according to laid out processes and procedures. Appropriate training will be given to the successful individual.
**Duties**:
- Maintain and documenting high levels of cleanliness and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the production areas according to process.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (as set out in level 2 training).
- To manage and oversee the work of the team to ensure that resource is effectively utilised across the department.
- Responsible for effective delegation and coaching of a Deputy on shift.
- To operate machinery in a safe and competent manner.
- To assess that machinery and equipment is safe and fit for purpose for use, escalating any problems, faults or hazards to the Maintenance team and or Production Manager in timely manner.
- To ensure that machinery is operated in a safe and competent manner by appropriately trained operatives.
- Responsible for ensuring effective set up by appropriately trained operatives to minimise machinery downtime
- To meet and exceed departmental KPI’s, including prompt, logical fault finding, downtime logging and rectification with timely escalation where appropriate.
- To ensure the accurate processing of company documentation, such as GRN recording, glass/plastic & Cleaning schedules etc.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations across the department.
- To take responsibility for food safety when handling and labelling food items
- To follow work instructions and correct procedures at all times. To report any issues of concern immediately to a manager or member of the Q.A. Department.
- To follow due process for any site & site security issues according to whether it is inside or outside of core hours
