We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and focused person to join the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate providing a full range of high-level operational and organisational support to the Chief Nursing Officer.

The team supports flexible working, with a mixture of on-site and home working. The primary base for this role is Trust Headquarters at the City Hospital campus, with travel between the Trust campuses, as the need arises.

Main duties of the job

As a crucial member of the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate, you will plan and organise activities to ensure the Chief Nursing Officer is able to fulfil their responsibilities to the Board, Committees, senior management meetings and other aspects of their portfolio, both internal and external to the Trust.

On behalf of the Chief Nursing Officer, you will be the first point of contact dealing with internal and external enquiries, managing matters as appropriate and exercising sound judgement in resolving or actioning them.

Being organised, having the ability to multitask, adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to suit the variable and developing workload of the Chief Nursing Officer, having discretion and integrity, the ability to work autonomously under pressure and an excellent communicator who is confident and comfortable in dealing with people at all levels is essential.

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
