Gilbert Meher are delighted to be partnered with a fantastic care provider who are looking for a Home Manager to join a small nursing home based in North West Wales. The role is on a fixed term contract period of 6 months, with a view to becoming permanent.The home is rated Good and has a clinical lead in place, therefore an active PIN isn’t required. Due to the location of the home, the provider would cover accommodation costs or consider a reduced working week.
Overview
Role: Home Manager
Hours: Full Time
Contract Length: 6 months
Rate of Pay: £50,000 pro rata (£25,000 across 6 months) + Accommodation
Duties
- Provide information, advice and support to residents, families and staff
- Maintaining, and working to improve the home’s Care Inspectorate rating
- Manage a team of Social Care workers
- Promote residents' rights and duties and encourage them to join activities
- Help residents to access local services
- Monitor business performance and quality of care
- Agree contracts, budgeting and fundraising
- Develop policies and practices and keep confidentiality
- Recruit, train and supervise staff

Experience Required
- Proven experience managing a care home for the elderly
- Experience working with Care Inspectorate Wales
- A demonstrable record of CI compliance as a Care Home Manager
- Experience in increasing and maintaining occupancy levels within a care home
- Track record of successfully managing a team of Social Care staff
- Right to work in the UK
