Our organisation is looking for experienced Support Workers or people who have worked in social care previously, ideally with mental health knowledge and experience in challenging and self-harming behaviours.

We don’t expect you to know everything when you join Goldfinch Care We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, meds etc.) followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches. You will then complete person-centred training, specific to the people that you will be supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc., and finally you’ll complete a shadow shift. We are proud of the person-centered approach that we take in developing a training programme which is all underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support and PROACT-SCIPr-UK - non-restrictive interventions.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Support Worker within Goldfinch Care you will join a specialist team supporting individuals living together in the community. We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health.

You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training. In this role you will support individuals in their day to day life, helping them to develop or regain life skills, increase their independence and assist participation in community life by building strong and trusting working relationships.

You will work alongside the Community Support Manager and Service Manager and collaboratively ensure that the needs of the people we support are met and that the houses are running smoothly with the safety and well being of the residents being at the forefront of everything we do.

You will need to possess an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent, or be willing to work towards. You will be motivated and have a can-do attitude, and work within a Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
