An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join our busy Collections & Recoveries team, based in Maidstone, Kent. This role covers 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

**The Role**:

- Performing internal and external reconciliations between finance, case management systems and client systems; pursuing investigations into unmatched transactions timely and accurately. Ensuring a clear and transparent audit trail exists between monies collected and payments remitted to clients (balance discrepancies, unallocated payments, over payments)
- Liaising with our Finance department and clients to resolve queries, ensuring that reconciled items are allocated promptly and in accordance with client and regulatory requirements. Dealing with external reconciliations from clients, ensuring inventories align and queries are actioned (remittance file errors leading to possible CM detriment)
- Supporting the IT Supervisor with management of routine administrative tasks and reports, extracting data from client systems and simple report writing. This includes alignment and quality control to ensure regular and key reporting is accurately maintained (status code checking, waivers and settlements)
- Assisting with creating, documenting and publishing our standard operating procedures and internal process flows (Getting the SOPS/flowcharts/technical manuals written up and available to the team)
- Processing clients’ instructions using the department’s debt recovery system, including but not limited to oversight of automated referral import module; manual file set ups, file maintenance and closures (the role will include data entry and dealing with routine correspondence)
- Carrying out tasks and general admin duties as and when required by the partner/team leader in charge of your team
- The role is expected to broaden to include analytical functions to help provide management information to support our strategic and operational aims
