Procure to Pay Team Lead

Reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation, the Head of Procure to Pay (P2P) holds a critical transformation remit and is responsible for defining, developing and implementing a consistent, streamlined, global Procure-to-Pay process through the leverage of industry best practice and technology. The role will lead on transformation and transition, as well as the steady state with an ongoing focus on continuous improvement. Including invoice processing, operational procurement, vendor onboarding, payments, query resolution, controls, and reporting
You will be expected to:
- Design and implement relevant policies to support the P2P process
- Assume responsibility for the design and implementation of appropriate process performance metrics to ensure optimal service delivery
- Engagement with external peer groups and relevant professional specialists; as well as industry publications; to identify trends in processing and technology to simplify and streamline processes
- Continuously assess process against best practices to determine gaps, opportunities for improvement, and alignment with Group requirements
- Ensure the maintenance of high level of engagement with stakeholders across the P2P process
- Monitor process performance indicators to help analyse non-compliance with its overall delivery
- Proactively mitigate risks associated with the end-to-end process and help drive resolution of escalated issues
- Support future state transition / rollout planning and management
- Create and effectively communicate work stream plans, including milestones and deliverables at each programme stage
- Proactively identify and manage work stream risks and issues
- Support change management, communication and engagement activities
- Work with HR and recruitment partners on change impacts, recruitment and training needs
- Develop a clear and aligned work plan for your team.
- Foster a constructive and productive working environment.
- Drive delivery of objectives including the use of development planning and performance management tools
- Participate as an effective team member in working collaboratively with your leader, peers and relevant others across the business to achieve business goals
- Contribute to the broader business by working with others in such a way that it optimises the overall business results
**What you'll need?**:
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in P2P operational management and transformation in a large plc/global business
- Must have functional experience in systems re-engineering, finance shared services or BPO
- Extensive experience of ERP accounts payable, OCR, service desk ticketing tools and other P2P solutions
- Strong Finance process, controls and systems knowledge
- Experience of working with teams across multiple locations.
- Facilitative style, with prior experience of leading workshops and engaging stakeholders through a series of approaches that require a targeted level of consensus.
- Technically savvy with a robust change management skillset.
- Exemplary partner engagement and management skills internationally and within complex, multi-faceted organizations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform complex analysis and reconciliations.
- Ability to develop, articulate and build support around a long-term vision and implement incremental achievements in support of that vision.
