Job Title: Depot Assistant, Operating Company
Reports to: Staff Manager, Operating Company
Location: Rochdale
Basic Purpose of Role
To support the depot management team with routine operational and engineering activities, within the ‘disciplined operations and efficiency' framework. Make recommendations for improving operational and engineering performance, by proactively reviewing business processes, policies, and systems.
Support the depot Operations and Engineering Managers to implement business and system change programs.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the depot management team to maintain accurate records for all aspects of operational and engineering standards and performance
- Prepare information to support disciplinary, grievance, or absence management reviews
- Prepare reports by collating, analysing and summarising information
- Support the depot team to ensure that all depot equipment is logged and maintained and that sufficient levels of stock are available, including ticket machines, driver equipment, cash machines, ticket rolls etc.
- Ensure items of lost property are logged in Tracerit and coordinate the return of items to customers
- Collate and coordinate new uniform deliveries as appropriate
- Collate and process vehicle defect information
- Support the accurate capture and recording of employee hours and attendance, including inputting, checking, and collating information from the DAS GUI system, timesheets, and clock cards
- Deal with telephone queries and support the satisfactory resolution of customer and employee queries
- Comply with requisition to pay procedures and delegated authorities
- Cover the front desk as required
- Other duties commensurate with the role as may be deemed appropriate by the line manager
