**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity to work for our nationwide logistics organisation. We have multiple depots across the UK with 120+ employees and are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our established and dynamic Finance Team at our Head Office in Rochdale.

**Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities**
- Coding and posting all invoices and credit notes accurately to the correct nominal code and company within the group.
- Preparation and overseeing of weekly payment runs.
- Reconciliation of the purchase ledger to supplier statements.
- Ensure processes, systems and procedures are operating effectively, identifying any issues, and recommending solutions.
- Input to the cash flow forecast with expected payments and dates.
- Act as cover for other members of the finance team during holidays and absence.
- Assist the Finance Manager with any ad hoc tasks as required.

**Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements**

**Essential skills**
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar UK-based role.
- Competent on Excel and Sage 50. Other accounting systems experience desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under own initiative with mínimal supervision.
- A willingness to drive positive change within your role.

**Desirable skills**
- Experience of working in a related industry and experience of using transport planning systems e.g. Mandata (or similar) would be advantageous, but not essential to the role, as can be taught.
- AAT Qualification or related qualification.

**Accounts Payable Clerk Benefits**
- A competitive salary of £25,000 dependent on experience (pro rata equivalent e.g. £10,000 - £12,500, for 16-20 hours).
- 28 days paid holiday (pro rata equivalent), increasing with length of service, up to 33 days (pro rata).

**Accounts Payable Clerk Shift Pattern**
- Fixed weekly shift pattern, which is flexible by mutual arrangement, in terms of days / hours.
