We are currently looking for a College Services Officer to join our busy team in Keele.

The CSO is a critical member of the College team in administration of the key aspects of the student life cycle with regard to records and reporting compliance. Providing highly responsive and pro-active customer service, implementing effective student retentionand events cycles (internal marketing), ensuring student welfare, meeting OSH requirements and maintaining a robust Student in Jeopardy programme.

The role requires a high energy, self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team, working with the academic, admission, finance, ICT and marketing functions of the College.

**Salary**:£23,000**-**£26,000

**Hours of Work**: Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm

**Location**: Office-based, Keele

**Contract Type**:Full Time, Permanent Contract

**College Services Officer Duties**:
**Student Support**:

- Support the development and implementation of an effective and efficient enrolment process.
- Support the development and implementation of an effective and enjoyable arrival and induction programme.
- Support the development and implementation of robust student finance management processes.
- Support the student voice through college committees.
- Support the planning and implementation of an on-going programme of student-centred events, activities and pastoral support.
- Support the management of student records.

**Academic**:

- Support the development of the college Academic infrastructure.
- Support the management of timetabling processes.
- Support the Academic Tutors.
- Support the management of college assessment processes.
- Support the management of college attendance monitoring processes
- Support the management of college compliance processes.
- Support the College Management Team in development of college policy, compliance, and documentation.

**College Operations**
- To ensure adherence to Safeguarding procedures.
- Lead college Workplace Health and Safety processes (risk assessments, accident reporting and first aid as appropriate).
- Utilising the Oracle system to log invoices and purchase orders and to submit ad-hoc credits and invoices.
- To support the College in debt recovery, tuition fee extension requests and payment plans.

**Other**
- Any other duties or tasks as directed by the Line Manager or College Senior Management Team.

**College Services Officer Requirements**:
**Skills and Experience Required**

**Essential**:

- A team player with a can-do mentality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Analytical with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Confident with the Microsoft Office suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience in a process driven, administrative, customer focused environment.
- Experience of working, communicating with and meeting the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience of working with data systems and data management.
- Resilient in the pursuit of customer service excellence.
- Strong verbal and written English language communication skills.

**Desirable**:

- Ability to communicate in a language other than English.
- An effective knowledge of the Higher Education sector and/or university pathway programmes.
- Experience of delivering front-line customer relationship management to a multicultural client base.
- Experience of working in an international education setting.
- Good data analysis and presentation skills.
