Due to recent changes in the team the position of **Senior Materials Technician** has become available to join our **Testing Team** on our **Thames Tideway Framework, based in South London**

Thames Tideway Tunnel Main Works East is a £650m Costain-Vinci-Bachy joint venture ("CVB") which aims to achieve the ambitious target of "Reconnecting London with the River Thames" by tackling the issue of frequent untreated sewage spills into the river from London's sewer network. This major project will provide a new sewage storage and transfer tunnel from Chambers Wharf to Abbey Mills. It includes the main tunnel, a connection tunnel to Greenwich Pumping Station, various shaft constructions, a connection to the newly constructed Lee Tunnel project, and minor works at the Beckton Sewage Treatment Plant.

This role will be site based

**Role Requirement**
- Relevant testing experience
- Compliance with Company and UKAS requirements at all times. Ensure that all UKAS requirements are met on a daily basis and technicians are carrying out all testing correctly. Manage team of trainee technicians and technicians to ensure works requirements are met
- Identify work to be carried out on a daily basis through liaison with other members of staff or directly with site contacts. Programme resources to meet client's needs. Liaise with client representatives on testing requirements. Identify and manage risk in all work activities
- Ability to work under own initiative in making sure workloads are dealt with efficiently and the results are delivered on time
