This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in yard operations or laboratory environments who have a comprehensive understanding of construction materials.

Position Type: Full-Time Permanent

Job Title: Construction Materials Technician

Compensation: Competitive

Salary: 25,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine inspections, sampling, and testing of aggregate, recycled materials, concrete, and asphalt.
  • Leading the preparation of compressive strength specimens.
  • Participating in research and development initiatives.
  • Performing particle size and density assessments.
  • Executing physical material trials, documenting findings, and tracking specific progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a construction materials technician, asphalt or ready-mix concrete technician, site technician, groundworker, yard operative, or laboratory technician in the construction field.
  • Familiarity with granular materials sampling, particle size distribution testing, and strength testing is advantageous.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in a new role, with a positive attitude being essential.
