At Fitwise we specialise in association and educational event management and we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team.
Working within a small finance team, the postholder will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, preparing monthly management accounts including monthly journals for accruals and prepayments etc. Other tasks include the daily and monthly finance tasks for their clients including daily banking, posting and reconciling purchases and sales ledgers and reconciling external systems to SAGE.
**About you**:
- Qualified to minimum of HND level
- Part qualified with ACCA/ACA
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a UK based accountancy practice
- Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
- Proficient in SAGE Line 50 and similar accounting systems
- Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
- IT proficient (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for communicating with non-finance professionals
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
- A people person with good team working skills
- Pro-actively identify and creatively solve problems
This is a hybrid role, and we are happy to accommodate a combination of home / office working.
