As the Stores Assistant located at the Crewe depot, you’ll be employed on a **permanent contract**, working full time hours, 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

If you thrive taking responsibility, this is a superb opportunity play a key role within the Material Team, operating a dynamic engineering environment. You’ll be responsible for supporting and assisting the Stores Team in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation. Your duties will include although not be limited to;
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Preparing and picking material against pre-defined kit lists
- Return material required for overhaul to suppliers packaged and protected appropriately
- Ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness in general areas
- Undertaking foods inward inspections and book into SAP as appropriate
- Controlled issuing of ad hoc material both physically and in SAP
- Collection of material not required from point of se areas and returning to the correct location
- Assist with undertaking periodic stock counts
**What will I need to be considered for this Stores Assistant - Engineering role?**
- Proven experience in a stores/materials environment
- Good level of IT knowledge ideally Microsoft Excel
- Valid driving licence
- Valid fork lift licence
- UK rail industry knowledge is desirable
- Previous experience with SAP is desirable
