**Job Purpose**
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager and working in collaboration with the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) team and key stakeholders across the University and external organisations, the Programme Officer will provide effective operational support to the
**Living Lab Precision Medicine Programme** and project leadership to monitor, review and track progress against agreed plans, coordinating events and delivery.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1. Support the SiPF programme in the production of project management artefacts, including producing and providing relevant reports across the portfolio as part of the monthly reporting cycle.
2. Build and maintain effective professional relationships, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the University and externally to share best practice and provide professional support as required.
3. Collate, track and administer all registers including key decisions and actions, escalating as necessary and preparing status updates for the Senior Programme Manager.
4. Support the programme and project leadership in the set up and facilitation of meetings, workshops and events, developing appropriate feedback mechanisms and following-up on any actions.
5. Provide general administrative support (e.g. drafting of high-level correspondence, prepare documents, ad-hoc papers and summary documents to a clear brief using established templates/standards where available and create non-standard formats as required).
6. Manage the programme risk and issue mitigation plans ensuring that mitigations are actioned effectively.
7.Provide specialist advice and information on the Strength in Places Funding (SiPF) programme and projects. This includes maintaining/updating websites and digital team environments (e.g. team filing system, document sorting and version control) as well as supporting the preparation of documents, presentations and other materials for the SiPF team.
8.Additional duties as may be required including the provision of support to the wider SIPF team.

**Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Knowledge/Qualifications**

**Essential**
A1 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 8 (SVQ 4, HND) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role. Or the ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills through personal development and progression in a similar related role(s).
A2 Proven track record in the delivery of internal stakeholder communication and engagement activity.
A3 Experience working in a similar project/programme environment.
A4 Basic understanding of planning and risk management
A5 Understanding of the full project/programme lifecycle.

**Desirable**
B1 Professionally qualified in project/programme management.
B2 Awareness of Higher Education organisations, purpose, infrastructure.

**Skills**

C1 Excellent written communication skills to prepare and present complex information and produce clear project management artefacts.
C2 Excellent oral communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to interact and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

**Experience**

**Essential**
E1 Previous experience of working in a project/programme environment.
E2 Administration and organisation of team libraries and workshops.
E3 Experience of analysing data and providing management information.
E4 Experience of preparing and delivering presentations.

**Desirable**
F1 Experience of working in HE Sector.
F2 Facilitation of workshops and/or training programmes.
F3 Experience of problem solving and development of innovative both technical and operational solutions.

**Terms and Conditions**
Salary will be Grade 6, £30,502 - £34,308 per annum.
This post is full time (35 hours p/w) and open-ended, with funding to 30 September 2025.
