We are looking to recruit an administrative assistant to support the team, predominantly working with the Widening Access team, which coordinates projects and events to encourage underrepresented students to consider higher education. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the delivery of the University’s 2020-25 Access and Participation Plan, ensuring that under-represented groups are empowered to succeed.**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Key duties of this role will include providing administrative support to the Widening Access team, acquiring a good working knowledge of the administrative processes required for the department, and relevant systems and equipment. You will support event organisation including booking rooms, catering and transport when applicable, supporting data collation, cleansing and validation activities, preparation of relevant documentation and statistics and recording proceedings and actions of meetings in a written format, providing a high standard of customer service to internal and external contacts across multiple contact methods, assisting other members of the LTIC administrative team when required.**Skill and experience required**:

- You will have experience of providing a service to customers and ideally, you will have appropriate proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organisation, ideally in a higher education institution.- You will have good IT skills, including the use of MSOffice packages and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of customer care, including a polite, helpful and confident telephone manner.**Qualifications required**:

- You will hold a minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent, including Mathematics and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent or proven professional work experience.
