**Duties and responsibilities**: Community Engagement (approximately 80% of role): Deliver the charities strategic engagement plan working with professionals and key communities to increase awareness of carers Engage with communities across Bedfordshire to build trusted relationships that promote community initiatives, particularly delivering fundamental outreach work in identified areas of high deprivation as well as the underrepresented groups and communities Organise and oversee community engagement to promote our charities awareness Work alongside our internal teams to understand charity needs, and the impact on colleagues, to ensure delivery of a compelling message to the community, making sure we are delivering an effective and clear message that is reflective of the charities mission. Nurture existing and create new partnerships with local organisations and community groups to support the charities mission Fundraising (approximately 20% of role): Maintain and promoting our volunteer ambassador network Collaborating and networking within the community to ensure growth and exposure of the charities profile Seek out and nurture relationships with new and existing supporters individuals, groups and organisations - assisting them and inspiring them to maximise their fundraising on behalf of CIBOther responsibilities: Support other staff as appropriate to deliver a quality service, including at cafes, Lounges, answering the phone, etc Ensure adherence to good practice, adhering to, reviewing and/or developing policies and procedures as appropriate Ensure personal information is collected, stored, and managed appropriately ensuring confidentiality of information as appropriate, including compliance with Data Protection legislation and guidelines Prepare reports for our core contract and other funders Take responsibility for assigned areas of organisational risk Always monitor and maintain a safe and secure working environment Adhere to Carers in Bedfordshire's standards, policies and procedures Participate in training and other organisational briefings and activities and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of carers needs and Carers in Bedfordshire's services Undertake such personal training as may be required to keep up to date and fulfil professional requirements Have a collaborative and flexible approach to work Some evening and weekend work is expected as part of your normal designated hours, and occasional nights away from home may be required Additional Duties: This job description is not exhaustive and services to highlight the main requirements of the post holder. These additional duties will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances or changes in work and will usually be compatible with your regular type of work.
