We have a vacancy in our team for an Administrator to cover Maternity Leave for 1 year.

You will be joining a small, friendly, very busy team based in Stevenage. The main role of the service is to co-ordinate the administration of health assessments for children & young people in the care of Hertfordshire County Council.

Your role is very important in this process and requires keeping accurate records and multi-tasking. You need to have ability to work to deadlines and to adapt to frequent changes in processes.

You will be part of a friendly and supportive team covering the Service for all of Hertfordshire and Hertfordshire CLA placed out of County.

The successful applicant will be required to work as a key member of our staff on a variety of administrative tasks. The role will require the ability to work in a team but also to be disciplined and motivated whilst working on your own after appropriate training.
- To provide a point of contact for the CLA & Care Leavers Health Team
- Undertake organisation of workload as agreed by the Named Nurse and Senior CLA Co-ordinator
- To co-ordinate and carry out complex administrative duties within the agreed CLA pathways
- Responsible for ensuring that all referrals for the service are recorded and referred to the appropriate person/team/clinician both within Hertfordshire and across the UK, in accordance with established timeframes.
- Responsible for identifying the appropriate professional within other organisations to refer to.
- Provide Cover for members of the Administration team in periods of Absence e.g. Annual Leave
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Maintain a professional and Confidential approach to work at all times
- Assist The Specialist LAC Nurses as required

- Work closely with partner organisation (Hertfordshire County Council) in arranging health assessments for children in care and those going through the adoption process.
- Liaising with Social Workers/Health professionals and foster carers in arrangement details, signposting and co-ordinating the smooth running of the administration process
- Identify appropriate health professional to undertake as per guidelines (both in and out of the county) but also responsible for alerting the clinical team if complexities are noted within that referral, that may result in delay or potential unsafe process followed
- Monitor the administration of health assessments to meet local and national timescales, both in and out of the county.
- Responsible for monitoring the return of completed Health Assessments; in so much as have awareness of what aspects of the returned document may need CLA nurse review/attentionand urgency of that review
- Responsible for the sharing of sections of the completed health assessment/documents with appropriate agencies. Within organisational governance policy guidelines
- Complete all the processes in an accurate, knowledgably way
- To answer incoming calls and dealing with Enquiries in a helpful manner
- Other general Admin Duties
