We are looking to recruit to a new post as a Clinical Lead for Bereavement Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Northamptonshire’ s new service, offering a range of therapeutic supports after suicide. The pilot project has been funded for an initial 18 months and we aim to create a groundbreaking, supportive service that safelycares for those bereaved by (suspected) suicide. You will be key in helping to shape the service, bringing creativity, empathy, and inspiring ideas to the forefront of the bereavement support offer. Working collaboratively with other agencies, we will be supportinganyone bereaved by suicide in a timely and supportive manner.
**Clinical Lead Responsibilities**:
Responsible for maintaining our no waiting list policy, duties include recruitment and management of bank counsellors, client allocations and consulting with our clinical supervisor. Demonstratable ability to engage in thorough assessment of risk, with escalationresponses where necessary with respect to vulnerable adults, and young people. Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality policies and procedures.
Supporting the CEO, you will serve as the second most senior member of staff, representing where appropriate, internally, and externally in a range of functions. Strong record keeping, project evaluation, reporting and building an evidence base for successfulpostvention bereavement support.
**Clinical Lead Requirements**:
We are looking for an experienced and qualified therapist, resilient, warm, and accomplished at providing support and counselling to adults and young people following a bereavement by suicide (or suspected suicide). In addition to your therapeutic qualities,you will be an aspiring or experienced group facilitator. The successful post holder will carry a caseload of clients, manage referrals, assessments, and work alongside team members, including delivery on group work and courses.
The scope of our work includes providing emotional support, 1:1 counselling, group counselling, psychoeducational course work and peer-led support groups. Flexibility is essential alongside high standards with an ability to advocate for a new service. Willingto take personal responsibility for delivering high quality results, and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
Working throughout Northamptonshire, requiring a working pattern to facilitate evening or weekend sessions, and recognising the importance of maintaining a healthy life/work balance, we offer flexibility around the 35 contracted working hours, which will behome based, with an attractive 25-day holiday package plus all bank holidays
