Job Title: Church Welfare Officer

Job Description: The successful candidate will provide emotional and spiritual support to members of our congregation, conduct needs assessments, and collaborate with community resources to meet identified needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Comfort and Companionship: Offer support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances such as illness, bereavement, or other life challenges.
  2. Identify Needs: Conduct assessments to identify individuals or families within the church community who may require assistance.
  3. Collaborate with Resources: Work closely with church leaders and community resources to determine the most effective ways to meet identified needs.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in pastoral care, counselling, or social work.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy and a non-judgmental approach to diverse challenges.
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
