**Accounts / Admin Role**

**Assisting in the Firm’s Accounts department**:

- Posting payments and receipts
- Client a/c to Office a/c transfers
- Client and Office journal entries
- Preparing interest reports and calculations
- Billing guides and disbursement reports
- Maintaining the Purchase Ledger
- Posting Sales Invoices, Allocating Fees and Writing Off Time
- Banking receipts
- Dealing with on-line banking, checking for receipts and creating telegraphic transfer and BACS payments
- Allocating interest to clients in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Client and office Bank Reconciliations
- Financial ledger and time enquiries
- Checking Completion and Financial statements

**Admin duties as requested by the CEO including**:

- Human Resource assistance
- IT assistance
- General office admin

**Technical Skills / Educational Requirements**
- Good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above
- An accounting qualification
- Sound knowledge of bookkeeping to trial balance
- Clear understanding of VAT procedures

**Additional Skills Preferred**
- Experience of using Insight Legal Accounting Software
- Understanding of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, W1W 8QT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
