Signature Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading London university to recruit a Postgraduate Research Administrator. This one-month temporary position, available immediately offers a flexible schedule of 2/3 days on campus located near Paddington each week.

In this role as Postgraduate Research Administrator, you will join the research degree programme team, where your efforts will ensure the seamless administration of the university's postgraduate research degree programmes. Your responsibilities will include managing key contact points and milestones for both international and domestic research students, monitoring their progress, and facilitating their journey from admission to graduation. This position demands a keen understanding of the student journey, exceptional planning skills, and the ability to provide comprehensive administrative support.

**Postgraduate Research Administrator Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the school's admissions processes for research students, working closely with academic staff and the Registry.
- Coordinate induction procedures and present materials at the annual induction seminar for new research students.
- Monitor the progress of research students, ensuring they are on track from registration to thesis submission, and address any issues promptly.
- Prepare essential documentation and handbooks for PhD students, assisting with internal and external reviews.
- Manage student bursary payments and maintain accurate records.
- Organise and minute committee meetings and other relevant gatherings.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of current students and alumni.

**Postgraduate Research Administrator Key Skills**:

- Proficient in Excel, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and data sets effectively.
- Previous administration experience within higher education, ideally related to research degrees.
- Characteristics of proactivity, organisation, and resilience, coupled with outstanding customer service skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 1 month

**Salary**: £20.80 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
