We are pleased to be able to advertise for a new Career Scheme Co-ordinator to help develop and co-ordinate our Work Experience offer and other internal training schemes
We are looking for someone with with experience of working with 16-18 year olds, who are still in the school or college environment. Someone who is highly organised, able to work at pace across different areas.
The job would be ideally suited to someone interested in helping people learn more about our organisation and who is committed to getting the best out of people and can advocate for Learning and Organisational development across the Trust.
The post holder will lead the co-ordination of pre-employment and management training schemes at King’s in support of our widening participation agenda. This includes supporting the King’s Intern Scheme (Project Search), King’s Work Experience Scheme and the King’s Management Training Scheme. The post holder will support the Head of Learning and Careers to develop the Trust’s offer around learning and career development. The post holder will work with a range of stakeholders across the Trust including members of our executive team and will be required to build positive relationships with our stakeholders to ensure the positive delivery of our programmes. As a member of the L&OD team, the post holder will be a supportive and active team player who advocates for L&OD across the Trust and role models inspirational behaviours.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Learning & Careers and Deputy Director to plan and co-ordinate the range of schemes during the year
- Support the Head of Learning & Careers in the co-ordination and administration of partner and stakeholder meetings
- Manage the marketing of the schemes with support from the Head of Learning & Careers
- Liaise with academic partners supporting the Head of Learning & Careers as required
- Support the Head of Learning & Careers in co-ordinating placements across the schemes and work with colleagues in clinical areas to ensure this is done in a collaborative way that supports the Trust
- Provide high calibre administrative services in the production of data and information for reports, papers, minutes, spreadsheets, presentations and other documents as required
- Maintain action/activity trackers for the schemes where required ensuring that information is continually updated liaising with the relevant stakeholders to record latest action status
- Act as the first point of contact for queries regarding the schemes
- Organise, attend, minute and implement actions from the scheme steering groups
- Liaise with external training providers to members of the core skills team to schedule and organise scheme activities
- Work with the Quality Assurance and Evaluation team to ensure we are monitoring the effectiveness of any external training providers and scheme activities
- Support the Head of Learning & Careers in the design and implementation of career pathways across the Trust
- Attend and host careers events in the Trust across our sites
- Co-ordinate the King’s Admin Professionals network and support the Head of Learning & Careers to host and deliver events
- Work with the LEAP (Learning Management System) team to ensure any education elements of programmes are recorded on LEAP
- Organise graduation and celebration events for the schemes including the development of alumni networks where appropriate
