**What’s this role about?**
We’ve created a Partnership Plan which is designed to build a growing and sustainable Partnership in a very dynamic set of markets, some existing and some new. For Merchandising Operations it is a critically important time to invest in the future of the Partnership’s Food and Grocery business, delivering significant customer benefits through improved availability, financial benefits through reduced wastage and reduced stock holding, operational benefits through increased efficiency, and Partner benefits through improved stock management processes.
As a Lead Service Coordinator you will support the Manager, Merchandise Operations in responding to stakeholder and customer information and feedback to ensure Merchandising service and efficiency is optimised at all times. You will lead and coordinate a team of Service Coordinators to ensure the effective and timely capture of operational issues and challenges arising across the supply chain, and ensure they are addressed in a timely and efficient manner by working with the relevant internal or external stakeholders. This role is a Fixed Term Contract until February 2024.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Motivating and leading the development of Service Coordinators, to deliver agreed plans and objective and to demonstrate behaviours in line with the Partnership’s values and principles
- Responsible for and ensuring working practices among the Service Coordinators are customer focused and lead to consistently high standards of operational performance
- Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of process improvements
- Lead the team in undertaking root cause analysis of issues and trends regarding shop feedback or supplier delivery issues, and then taking appropriate action or escalation
- Reporting on number and types of issues raised
- Coordinating updates to the operating systems required to enable changes in item, supplier, haulier and consolidator relationships
- Inventory tracking e.g. completion of EDI magazine audit to ensure legal compliance
- Responsible for creating and coordinating the critical path of Merchandising activities for shop openings, closures and refurbishments
- Coordinating the transfer of stock to other shops
- Coordinating the flow of products into shops to match shelf filling program
**Flexible working**
We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Merchandising Operations team aim for around 1 day a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.

- Relevant experience of managing supplier and retail relationships to solve problems
- Strong communication skills
- Using data for analysis and decision making in delivering solutions
