**To share your expertise with our small friendly enablement team providing care and re-enablement of patients/clients with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). **Working with the individual, their families and support workers,to develop the skills needed to achieve their daily living goals, to interact with their communities, gain confidence and make their own life choices.

**Must have Clinical Experience /Qualifications and current registration. Have a commitment to the voluntary sector ethos and the ABI community we serve.**

Service/Technical Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the Executive Clinical Lead to achieve and continually enhance the services delivered to our ABI community.
- Be aware of and comply with Herefordshire Headway Health and Safety procedures as well the full range of its policies.
- Supervise, support, and advise the enablement Support assistants and tutors helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Participate in training and professional development of other staff members
- Encourage and oversee activities within and outside the day centre with individuals and groups to enhance the rehabilitation process.
- Have a clear understanding of the boundaries of their work, being clear about how and when to request professional guidance be this close at hand or remote.
- Support and work with individuals, and groups, as appropriate both in individuals’ homes, in the wider community, and in the Headway House Day Centre
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe, warm, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Support individuals in the day centre to meet their hygiene, dietary, and other physical needs.
- Assist, individuals to access a range of local and online services creating a network of support local to their homes and communities.
- Work as a team member, taking initiative in accordance with safe working practice, and in conjunction with other staff members, and the needs of the service.
- Assist with general fund-raising initiatives, fully embracing the charitable foundation on which our organisation if based.
- Assist in developing strategies of raising awareness of acquired brain and how others can support individuals and families living in their communities.
- To take direction from and to undertake such other duties as requested by the Herefordshire Headway Management team and Board of Trustees.
- Attend mandatory training as required.
- Identify any unmet training and continuing professional development needs.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 21 per week

Pay: £17,044.00-£18,383.00 per year
