**Job Title**

Pricing Analytics Lead

The UK Pricing team is a small but crucial team who are central to the success of our UK business, critical to the creation and protection of lasting value within our customer base. We do this through ownership of the overall pricing strategy, maintenance and control of pricing policies in sales and retention functions, development of new pricing propositions as well as bespoke programmes of portfolio and revenue optimisation.

We are looking for an important addition to the team, who will play a leading role in upgrading our commercial data ecosystem for decision making and will be responsible for helping define and deliver a new data-driven pricing playbook and framework to our pricing strategies and ensure data is at the heart of our decision making. This role would suit a commercially minded analyst with a strong analytics and data visualisation background, who is experienced in or curious about the role of pricing as well as analytics, in optimising commercial outcomes.

**What you will be doing**
- Take a leading role in defining requirements for a new database schema consolidating cost, price and margin data points in congruence & co-ordination with our central Data/Technology function & ensuring the wider Clover UK MI & reporting tooling is fit for purpose, enabling deep portfolio insight and driving value
- Lead on commercial MI requirements and delivery
- Exploratory analytics related to pricing and margin
- Development of simplified pricing models used by sales teams
- Support initiatives related to portfolio pricing actions and associated analytics
- Implementation of margin monitoring and control/governance dashboards
- Retrieve, consolidate, segment and understand complex datasets using internal data analytical tools
- Provide ad hoc analysis.

**What you will bring**
- Understanding of the economics of the merchant acquiring industry
- Data and analytics background with strong SQL, data visualisation software and Python exposure advantageous
- Quantitative concepts / forecasting (advanced Excel is essential)
- Ability to present sophisticated analysis in a clear and concise format
- Ability to keep tight audit controls over large amounts of data
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative, pressurised, changing environment
